Who We Are?
Our Story
How it started: 2020
It all started in 2020. Did the Lord want a new life giving church in the Inland Empire? Our prayers were confirmed when Pastor Aaron met Ejay Cruz at Eastbrew Cafe. Aaron felt the Spirit lead him to consider that “There are 1,000s more people looking for a church just like him!”
In early 2021 a group of 24 people came together to pray and discern our next steps. By that summer, we had 45 adults committed to launching a new church!
How it launched: 2022
The church launched February 18, 2022. Our first service had 238
adults, many of whom were visitors from our other campuses who came to support and pray for God’s blessing. It was a special day!
How it’s growing: 2024
Our community continues to grow. We grateful for each person who calls our church home.
We are a Biblically strong, personally warm and locally invested church who love Jesus. We are committed to making disciples of Jesus who go on making disciples of Jesus.
Our Mission
To become a community of authentic Christ-followers, compelled to change our world
How do we do discipleship?
At Friends Eastvale, we are a community actively taking our next steps of faith. We have four unique discipleship environments where that takes place.
- We Gather to be with Jesus and each other.
- We Grow to become like Jesus through our groups.
- We Go and do what Jesus did through outreach.
- We Give generously to Jesus by serving with our time, treasure and talent.
Our Core Values
Below are our driving ministry values that help us stay aligned to Jesus, the Bible, and healthy ministry. You can read about our core beliefs and doctrinal statement HERE.
- Authentic community - The church is not a building or a service but a people. We prioritize real relationships and connections that are centered on Jesus and building His Kingdom as a New Testament church. Love is the mark of our maturity.
- Passionate faith - We live for a bigger story found in Scripture. As we rely on the Holy Spirit’s help to apply Jesus’ Word, He excites our hearts and makes us more like Him. Others will tangibly see the fruit of the Spirit.
- Empowering leadership - We believe God sees something in us that we don't always see in ourselves. We seek to empower, support, and mentor individuals so they’re inspired to be all that God wants them to be, both in life and in ministry
- Care and compassion - Our neighbor is anyone we see, and anyone whose needs we are in the position to meet. We want to meet the world with the heart of the Gospel by first meeting the tangible needs of others in our city through compassionate service.
- Generosity and gratitude - Jesus is most seen in us when we give with gratitude to His work and others. Generosity and thankfulness are at the heart of every follower of Jesus because they reflect the love and forgiveness He has lavished on us.
